Breathing and Movement @ Shaw Yoga

Breath-driven motion is the key to unlocking the dynamic potential of your vinsyasa practice, the best means to match ease with effort in your practice, and the means to the meditative experience of keeping your consciousness fully engaged in your practice. In this workshop, you’ll learn techniques yogic and ujjayi breathing, how to go deeper into a pose by breathing into subtle movements while holding poses, and the art of conscious motion through time and space.

You’ll also learn how controlled and focused breath can help you make progress in mastering challenging poses. This will be a very active workshop and will include breathing through variations of Sun Salutations, Super-slo-motion vinyasa sequences, tips for breathing in fast-paced classes, and how use your breath to progressively work your way deep into complex poses. This workshop is suitable for yogis at all levels of practice.
